Hear the difference

Scraping chairs, echoes in a school corridor or the hum of a vacuum cleaner – with so much noise in our everyday life it’s no wonder that some of the words are lost. Domino will lower the noise so you can hear without effort.

A versatile listening system

Even with hearing aids, there are situations in life when it can be particularly difficult to distinguish speech. This is common in busy environments such as schools, work places and public areas like for instance shopping malls.

The Domino listening system from Bellman & Symfon will help you to hear better in these situations, where hearing aids alone may not always be enough. Domino brings out the words so you can hear them loud and clear – even at a distance. This means you can enjoy the company of colleagues and friends without effort.

How it works

Domino consists of a transmitter and a receiver.

1. The receiver captures speech close to you. Wear it around your neck or place it on the table in front of you.

2. The transmitter picks up speech from further away. Just place it across the table – or ask your colleague, schoolmate or teacher to wear it.

Hear without effort

Domino uses digital technology to enhance speech and filter out unwanted background noise before it reaches your hearing aid or cochlear implant. The clean and crisp sound makes it easier to hear the words above the noise. Click below to hear what it sounds like.

Just point and listen

Both the receiver and the transmitter are equipped with a directional microphone. When you are in a particularly busy environment, you can just 'point' Domino to your company and the noise will disappear and the words will come out.

This is useful in for instance canteens, restaurants and terminals, where it would otherwise be very difficult to hear what is being said.

How Domino works

Using Domino with hearing aids

Domino clarifies speech and filters out disturbing background noise before it reaches
your hearing aid or cochlear implant. Here you can read more about how it works in practice.

1. On the table

The receiver captures the sound nearby, while the transmitter picks up the sound further away. The sound is then streamed to the receiver that enhances speech and reduces disturbing background noise.

2. Around the neck

The neck loop transmits the speech wirelessly to the hearing aid or cochlear implant's speech processor.

3. In the ear

The hearing aid or speech processor refines the sound further before it reaches the ear.
